I think all wars are on one level or another made for the benefit of a hidden ruling elite whoever that might be. There is a lot of money to be made in production of weaponry, a lot of hard problems can be solved by annihilation and reconstruction from scratch or like said above passing laws that would never be passed before.

I don't even wanna think what they gonna come up next with to brainwash and turn everyone into helpless sheep.

I seriously think that if they wanted to rewrite constitution like they see fit they would create a problem big enough and present the solution that would justify doing the fore mentioned. Not only that, people would believe that that was the only solution present at the time and accept the new conditions.

One of many. He happens to have hit us hard, but there are plenty more to take his place if we take him out.
