spooged : on that picture : kristenhead" of yours : I asked myself if you have done it from live, or not? just curious, really. I dare to ask because the colors you used all along, on the face, especially, are very similar of your live sessions with pastels. _________________ ---

Beat, yes it was from life (back when I had a session in my own studio) but I toyed with it a bit afterwards. Probably too much.
Glad you liked that one Sukhoi. I notice that it has a similar color space to your own cool sketches. Wasn't intentional:)

spooge demon: If it inspires work like this, then it's all good. I love the perspective on the second one.
sparth: Neat! I like the reflection and water rendering.
henrik: Awesome, but it's vewwwwwwwy dark on my monitor. |

ceenda - thanks for the brush info. with oils i love strokes that add colour and blend simultaneously. haven't managed to get this kind of effect from photoshop yet. i'm keen to try painter out.
this is the best thread around. great work everyone. one of these days i should even have my own webspace so i can contribute.
mathew - your nude is very impressive. and suitably provocative to boot.

A little rusty, spent the weekend goofing off in Palm Springs with the wife and kids. So here's a quick one. A little embarrassing after seeing all the great work everyone did. |

Sometimes, I want to jump on my computer till it dies.
...just one of those sketches that come out of nowhere, and then you sit there thinking "Why'd I just draw that?", and you put on another CD with sad music on it, and you eat a hamburger, and you do some actual WORK because you have to pay your rent and stuff, and then you read some comics for a while, and then you draw some more, and then you read more comics, and then you drink some coffee, but it's decaf because you're allergic to caffeine, but you feel kind of wired anyway, so you go and write some nonsensical post on an art forum and everyone's like "wtf?", and then they save your picture on their hard drives, and years later they find it on a storage CD somewhere and go "wtf is this? why'd I save it?" ...and then you suck.

OMG, this sketch sucks.
I was all...like...frustrated and scribbling, and stuff. I had just...saved over a better sketch. I hate when that happens. _________________ Dignity isn't important. It's everything.

sukhoi: very nice
spooge: any paris hausmanian architecture for the last one? makes me think about the universal exhibition of 1889 or something.
i like the actual period here on the speedpainting thread. so much to see and enjoy. a pleasure.

Aw, man, not another one. I shouldn't sketch on days like this, when my brain-hand circuit appears to be...broken.
DSG...evening stroll.
