Hi there Sijun users,

this is my first post here, I was already watching quite a while but hadnt posted anything yet. I'm a sixteen years old boy from Germany who loves everything about painting Smile.

I hope we will have a nice time together! Very Happy

------
The Painting

It's a Just-for-Fun painting for the "downtime" project, a cg-film I'm working on with some online friends. 100% Photoshop (except the 2 sketches, both done with pencil on paper).

I think it's almost finished, just some more details and refinement, but I'm currently stuck a bit what to do next.

Here are some screenshots I did during the painting process so you can see how i painted it.

Hope you like it... maybe some comments and suggestions? Some things I should change?

im not sure about the eye-candyness of the lighting.. but it looks great allright ^^

somehow i feel the teal-green lights could be dimmer.. since i dont think anythings in front of the craft to cause such a high-contrast reflection... dont u think?

now its as if theres very strong orange and green light source.. almost overpowering the scene.

now that i see it, the orange is okay.. acuse of the fireball.. the green... i dont think i would make the lighting so harsh.. esp on the underside.. ^^

hope i was of help.. great design btw, very cool. i dig thte cockpit area most Very Happy

Hi, and welcome. I'm not sure, but I would try to darken the orange reflections near the spaceship a little and restrict the illumination to the areas near the explosion (hm, my dictionary-english is terrible, I know so again in german: versuch mal die berstrahlung der Schattenseiten nur auf die Bereiche in der Nhe der Explosion zu begrenzen und auch die orangenen Reflektionen an den Tunnelwnden in der Nhe des Raumschiffs etwas zurckzunehmen - vielleicht nimmt das etwas vom Bonbonfarbenen.).

Nice pic. Smile

This a paint over for the glass refleccions on ur ship, i hope it helps Very Happy
also it migth help to the overall feeling of the image
if u clean up the gradients on it Smile
use the lasso tool and a soft brush if u want clean gradients and hard edges Wink
