Okay, this is going to be hard to explain but..
for tablet owners, you know when you hover your pen over the tablet and you move your cursor around on the screen like that, well mine actually thinks i'm pressing on it and trying to draw? It only happened in the last couple of days
like.. you know how you press down to draw, well even when my pen isn't touching the tablet the tablet seems to think I still am? It only works on the pen tip side, it works fine when I flip it over and use the eraser side.. This is REALLY annoying, I have no internet at home and drawing is the only thing keeping me from being sane. PLEAAAAASE HELP |

*delurks*
you might want to uninstall your tablet drivers and install a recent version again. Sometimes it's silly like that... If it still doesn't work well....... you might want to draw with the other end of your pencil just to keep sane in the meantime ! I just hope your pen isn't malfunctionning. Maybe the tip is stuck ? Anyway, get busy with the drivers first.
Good luck

Hmm, yea I'll try installing the drivers again tonight. Thanks
It's not the pentip, i've tried 3 different tips and even without a tip in there it still manages to detect it while hovering :/ |

The plastic tip just presses against a switch located up in the pen, so if that got stuck in an 'on' position you might get that effect.
But I agree that a driver update would be worth looking at first. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

I had a play around trying to get my pen open with no luck, but it managed to fix itself? Then the next day it went right back to going all whack, I've tried it on 2 computers now with different drivers on both, does the same thing.. My guess is theres gunky stuff inside that's pushing against the sensor thing when I put the nib in.. I just gotta find out how to open one? Anyone know?
It's the Intuos Pen |

which tablet do you have?
what you described happened to me on several occasions with a graphire1.
what happened is the nib somehow got the button or whatever is in there stuck, so it's like constantly pressing it. what i used to do is tap the tip of the pen a few times hard of the tablet, if that didnt work i unplugged and plugged in the tablet. sometimes you do have to unistall and reinstall the drivers.
its a knows problem i guess. also, sometimes the nib gets like stuck on full pressure. normally restarting photoshop solves this. |

Definitely make sure you have the latest driver for the tablet. You should always make sure you have the latest drivers and firmware for all your hardware. If there weren't bugs, there wouldn't be driver updates.
Also, when you have problems with your tablet, pen, mouse, whatever, have you tried going into the Wacom properties panel and reset everything back to the default settings? It's worth a try...
Good luck w/ the Wacom problem
