Duracel, thanks man. But i do use ref for most of the stuff here. Just working on my blockin and value picking mojo. Don't see a point of inventing it form the head at this time. Really like your waterfall pics earlier. Single brush all the way!
More mediocrity.

this thread is one of the best parts of my life (that's sad really isn't it). It's high noon in the wild, wild west (of the future):

90 min, just for practise, it was in front of me on my desk.
Last year i did same thing on my 7110, and have now upgraded to 3650.

I was checking out and playing with some of Greg Martin's tutorials last night, and a short while ago I tried to pull out a ten minute speedy here at work. It was a welcomed and therapeutic break:

Scott Robertson, those are great. Is that Painter? If so, what are you using for the smallest details? |

WOW, crazy crazy crazy stuff. If you don't mind wassup, could you generally describe how you achieve that texture? You've propably described the process 50 times, so if you don't feel like typing it again, you can slap me with a trout. Either would be an honor.
Hardly a speed painting at 5 hrs, but I too needed an excuse to compliment and request.
(amazing work from others too!!!)

I just recently got Painter 8, and decided to try out all the brushes. I came to one I liked and started painting.

hey cicinimo, was surprised that i was asked a technical question by you, you know what, i check the tut-update on your site 3 times a day well, really nothing secret, i just laid a scanned picture, part from my work done in traditional way, over the sketch, adjusted layer opacity a little and played around with some blending options, thats it. always feel like a cheater when doing this,eh... just to lazy to do brushwork sometimes hehe.
todays mecha-day. again, painted for posting. i like how it is so far tho, will make it a little more finished look later, i think.

Zu, like how simple you rendered that face. Very cool.
Scott Robertson, i cant say i liked your earlier images but these last two... are on a whole another level! Love them.
Wassup... that mech pic is awe inspiring. How long have you been painting? Traditionally or otherwise? Just curious.
trying to paint water in simple shapes gives me jedi mind pain. _________________ "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity" - Sigmund Freud |
