starglider, thanks! Its really nothing new, I have been trying to get better at shapes for a while now, but my drawing is always too weak, which is really required for a shape oriented style to work well.

Popeye, you need no steenken paintover (not to say broken cow did)

self portrait in oil, assignment called for no brushes so I tore up a t-shirt and just used it like rags. about an hour and a half. I'm still having horrible color problems, but I'm making my way through it. I think I'm going to keep going with this, but I thought I would post it as is before it goes through a complete change.

hacked around with gimp's source to fix the crummy paintbrush behavior and
... succeeded Shocked
