XIA, I've seen that guy. In fact I've drawn him many times, at cornish. I think he's name is michael, or something. You going to school up there? I like your style. It reminds me of that french guy, Redmond, a little. |

Meaty Orge> Thanks, yep. It was a good session on Sat. Also good model. Nope, I went to the Art Institute of Seattle. Graduate two years ago. Currently I am a 3D artist. Love your website, lots of dope stuff. Did you go to Cornish? Who's Redmond? Please, send me the link. |

Spooge Devil ----> that tip you gave earlier about stroking the shortest axis kinda throwed me back to my highschool days. The teachers there kinda tortured us with that trick. It worked. It worked great. It makes the overall gestural quality much more rich. _________________ If there is no God, who pops up the next kleenex in the box? |

Does anyone has some neat examples of old drawings using a very systematic way of stroking and shading ? _________________ If there is no God, who pops up the next kleenex in the box? |

I got some advice to fix this one so, it is now not considered a speed painting, but thought it would show how much input can help.

ding! SOmetimes the timer is wiser than you are. Slim pickens tonight.
Starglider, Probably the inventor of that trick is Leyendecker. Could be wrong.
balistic, i really like the color/ contrast ratio in the gras tween light and shadow. That value and color in the shadow is nice. Works.
