Whoa, what the heck? And immediately after taking the photo you sought shelter in a windowless innterior bathroom, right?
Sheesh, man, that looks CLOSE. |

Yeah, it was close.
They needed 10 firetrucks and 2 helicopters to finish it.
The small "tornado" didn't last long though. Nice _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

We don't have a sky here in California.
It's either solid blue(typical day - no clouds), grey(thick cloud coverage - no spaces), black(night - no stars) or brown(too much pollution - can't see). |
No way. We have amaizing sunsets in Pismo Beach. I am taking my camera with me from now on. _________________ "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity" - Sigmund Freud |

Pardon me, Mr.Monkey. Allow me to rephrase: We don't get much pretty sky here in Los Angeles. Where you are, Yes, there are infact clouds - as you live on a beach. :D
BUT, guess what!?!? The Desertness of LA decided to get horribly humid today...thus = SKY!!!!

THIS IS THE ONLY GREEN PART OF NEW MEXICO IN A 150 MILE RADIUS.
(let me know if the dimensions are too big; i am a poor judge of such matters)

That's awesome, awetopsy. They remind me of fractal patterns.
ALSO, I just discovered that I have the Audobon field guide to North American Weather.
Apparently, you have some nice pictures of altocumulus there. _________________ QED, sort of. |

The sky this morning was nice. Rays of light pouring through thick grey clouds over Los Angeles highlighting the tall buildings in the valley.
Two photos and their respective 800x600 wallpapers.

My monitor is starting to die.. so I hope these look as good on your screens as they do on mine.
They were taken two different days within the last month or so. |
