For all I care you can bounce it on for as long as you like (with quality this high it's hard thinking otherwise). my favourite so far is the right side of page 009 (guy on a pillar). How long do you spend with each page/picture? I figure you spend enough on a page until it's "filled" (duh), but what about the pictures? Do you do them in one go or do you return to it every now and then until the images are crafted enough for you to be satisfied? (over the course of a couple/more days = many hours)
really great stuff |

Thats it.
It's a Custom Brush based on a scann of such an effect. ^^
(Digitaldecoy is a friend of mine in RL aswell, so i know this is really true.)
Edit: Forgotten to say ... of course phantastic work. _________________ Lars Gtze

This time I wanted to capture my weekend feeling when I have just boiled a cup of tea, flipped through a pile of good artbooks, arranged a massive Winamp playlist and started photoshop. I love that.
The rest is some more hero fighting earth wyrm stuff. I dicovered that water color effect which I blatently abused in this one. In order to learn the benefits of a technique you have to overuse it at least one time, I think.
page 14:
Sorry for replying so late but I thought it would be more clever to post (and thus bouncing the thread) when theres a new page to look at.
@ drunken_muse:
I spend between 2 and (today) 6 hours on one page. I always do them in one run. I usally have an idea in mind for the starting point and when Im done with that I just doodle on and let things happen. That usualy happens on the weekends when theres time. That by the way explains the slow pace in which I create those pages but thats ok I guess.
@ Cyre:
Like Duracel just wrote I indeed use a custom brush that was made from a scan of black ink spattered by a toothbrush. Thats one of my favourite brushes and I love the effect. _________________ Que la fuerza te acompae! |

Sorry, totally forgot this question. Well DPI is relative but the pages posted here are half the size of the originals which are 1600x1200 pixels. That resolution is optimized for my brush set and monitor size so that it feels comfortable to work with (not having to zoom much and having enough pixels for certain effects). I know that this is quite a bit too lowres to print them but thats ok. Its a digital sketchbook for my personal enjoyment anyway. _________________ Que la fuerza te acompae! |

great pages!!
talking about printing 'em... it'd be so neat to one day see a book in the bookstore that is just a compilation of all these pages =D! _________________ ~a shadow, a moment, a memory-- a monument, a legend, a legacy~ |

What's really crazy is I just thought of the same idea of doing a digital sketchbook last night!!! That's how the world works I guess...you put out some energy and somebody or something appears to confirm and reaffirm your thoughts and feelings.
Thanks for puttin' it out into the ether... |

Digitaldecoy,
the variety alone left me stunned. Wonderful. No crits needed here, just unreserved praise.
sketchbook_page10.jpg is my favourite.
