Thanks for liking that uh, what did frost call it? hotties from middle earth? Hehehee. WHEN IN DOUBT, ADD ELF EARS.
llama, no, I on Mowwwie. No, not teaching anywhere. People ask me questions in life class and I try to answer, but mostly I give blank stares, cause I don't know either.
Pato, I like your mammoth, very Frazetta like
Chris, don't let blehble get to you. BTW, he take visa and mastercard.
This is my take on that, uh vampire girl from Blood. The pencil tests were so nice, beautiful drawings. Kinda reminded me of FF movie, huge effort into... what?
Tried to do it differently, had to smack my hand dozens of times to not do it as I normally would. It takes so much concentration to break habits of years. And you probably say, it looks like all your other stuff, except it's worse! I will keep on trying.

DangerousLlama: Great robot. It looks great.
Gecko : Great bird
sparth : I won't give up on Corbis.com but Ill try and practice every week without a reference. I just don't see how anyone can learn from what they already know. I find that copying photos is the best way for me to learn about value and color. I created the artwork today without a reference (obviously). It could have been a lot better, I hope by the end of the year I will have some kind of grasp on color and value so that I can accurately paint my ideas.
Pato : Good values and colors.
spooge: Thanks for inspiring me.
allpetter: Thanks
TheDarkLord : Thank you.
Mitsui : another cool one. I like the lighting a lot.
- random news-
Ah... so tired. I skateboarded all day on Sunday at Vans Skate Park. I think its amazing how I remembered how to do all my tricks when I havent skated in 2 years. My memory is better then I thought.
I started this out practicing different things I have learned over this month. My goal was to try and make something with the right values and lighting in 3 hours without a reference picture. Well, I did not do as well as I thought I would. I got confused on some of the values and what goes where, so a lot of time was spent trying to figure out what I should put where. Of course I never really expected to get everything right, I have much to learn and this just means I must keep on practicing.
haha I just noticed the clouds values are way off when contrasted against the far away buildings. Stupid me.
program used : photoshop 7
Tablet used : Wacom intous 2 , 9 x 12
Time it took : 3 hours and 30 minutes. thirty minutes more then I wanted, oh well.
