matthew , u last last one is awesome!
thanks chruser
yes, i use ref sometimes, just for inspiration,
could be a glimpse of the tv show,
or a small msn profile picture,
anything that gives me a ring.
whenever i find i run out of idea,
i will go back to drawing,
i always think that drawing is foundation of all the arts,
i believe if u cant draw well, u wont be able to paint very well.
here's a quickie i painted from my lifedrawing. no42

Elliot, Nice!
Zhuzhu, nice to see some of your personal stuff.
Used way too much time on this one. I gotta sharpen my drawing skills.

spooge demon. That's got to be one of my favorite paintings in many many, many pages, though I couldn't tell you why it appeals.. colors or the the knight so embedded in the tall flowers and bushes maybe. and ELLIOT YOU ROCK. INCREDible.
fiend, pringle, jo, ceenda, great work. Love the pimped out battersea pwr station.
playing around, different methods - and a square brush.
just come back from holiday. time away from speedpainting is both good and bad. |

zhalimuto, thanks for the info! Nice painting, too.
ELLioT, very cool style!
Matthew, that tree info was awesome. I learnt a lot from that. But then again, as spooge said, I have a long past of contradicting what I say with my work. Minus the long part, perhaps. Your latest painting kicks ass, too.
The rest of you, stunning work! I wonder what the standards in this thread will be like in 1-2 years from now. Ouch.
Too fast, but I'll think of a better excuse later. I shall find a way out of the world of menacing blur blobbing soon. My bed looks too inviting right now. _________________ What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

2 hours - 3 speeeed paintings. Had a timer on so I wouldn't get caught in too much detailing. Fun but exhausting.

same sort of concept as before, but this guy was a fasion model before conscription began in the year 2321.. ahem
and an early colour. I'm strangely drawn to the sqaure brush which makes it all look like a pile of crap & compression artifacts. Early days yet on this colour, feel free to guide it's progress.

Pringle, neat!
Capt Fred, yeah I don't know if that square brush is working for you... it seems to emphasize hard, artificial looking edges.

Thanks for the comments guys, you are way too kind.
Francis your stuff is very nice. Is that marker or digital? -I like it alot.
Fiend, The last one is great
This one is inspired by the pic. named street_scene by the mighty mr.Mullins,
so I thought I'd better give credit.
