weird, I am starting to really like Artrage and I think it may be all I need in digital at the moment.
nighty nighty folks, if the bed-bugs will bite I will overpaint them.
Quick doodle before bed.

Trepidation with post: Thinking this needs a hard layer of bright warm light and another hard layer of dark to cut into some perspective issues. <- but I kinda like the mood and comp. Picture piloting a rowing machine, viewed from a camera in the speedometer. Any feedback=very much appreciated. Maybe stand back and squint real hard first.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who's pleased to see Gecko and Mon posting again.
>kurtlzh-bugs represent.
>watmough-your last few have been smashing. You've got a great depth of stroke and feel for light. Your tree sketch hums a very nice tune.
>zhalimuto- damn fine, very sensitive to form.
>swarm- I think junb is a really beautiful sketch.
Ok. Glad you're all here, doin what you're doin. |

zhalimuto> mr. skintone does it again, cool!
watmough> good pic, the value in the eye seems off, maybe you stressed it too much by making it so big and bright?
Hmm. I just did a big tower, now a mountain.. Phallic symbolism, Freud would say.

Misc, works very well your latest.
I am working on a similar piece with oils in me school, inspired by Drachmann. Wanted to see how much I remember with making a doodle in Artrage.

I LOVE this thread. It's amazing watching how people improve. And it's always a pleasure to see spooge post as well.
Here's one of mine for now

cheers Matthew. It's always fun to come here and see what you're up to next
very nice longyvde, what size was the first one originally?
Spooge: You make it look so easy. It's only when I try to do something similar that I begin to grasp the talent you possess. Incredible.
um, time for bed

2 posts in one 24-hour period. Another one ref'd from the Audobon field guide, a baby black widow. I changed the angle of the lightsource a bit from the original.
>watmough-- thanks for the comments. I like that one too, it just feels very far from finished, to me. Nice job on the Delacroix, though I agree about the possibly-overy-lit eye.
>Mikko K-- as Freud himself said, 'sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.'
>Matthew-- interesting color juxtaposition on that beachy scene. Nice job on the birds.
>misc-- some of your scenes have me asking many questions. They've got really nice little stories built into them.
>jfb-- I took a look around your website yesterday, I remember a few of those from this thread a few months ago, and I remember liking them very much. Beautiful style. |
