Some of you may have noticed that "stacy" as moderator earlier today. I'm not sure how long this had been the case but it definately wasn't something that was sanctioned. "stacy" has since been removed from moderator status, and we are trying to get to the bottom of how this occured in the first place. I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused anyone.

I didn't notice, but had I noticed I would have protested and for obvious reasons. Stacy and I have exchanged blows in the past on issues, and although I believe I have been reasonably civil in my discussions, I believe Stacy's have not been, and that is anything but becoming of a moderator.

Hehehe, I think stacy's 'promotion' to mod was a last desperate attempt to try and win a debate with you Tom. Laughing

Out of interest, I notice Cicinimo describe 'it' as 'her'. Everyone seems to think stacy is a guy's name, but in the UK I have never heard of a guy being called 'stacy'. Possibly a state-side thing? Like "Jo", "Leslie" and "Lindsay" which are used for both guys and girls here.

I'm with Gort on this one. I'll be a little more blunt and say that Stacy (a guy, I'm pretty sure BTW) has been a royal PIA that needs to majorly chill the F--- out.

Id've probably fallen over if I saw Moderator appear under his User Name.

Stacy, sorry bro, but I really think that half the time you just look to stir up arguments, especially with Tom.

Dhab, Are there any changes for Sijun in the future? I was in contact with arno way back but I got fed up with him not responding me. The reason why I am mentioning this is because there are some critical updates that I felt was and is necessary, icons and that mailfunction new messages button. And now you say why do you care about this? well, I guess I was too much involved with things back then but then again nowadays I don't care cause no one is replying me anyway, I wonder if that makes for a good moderator?

I feel though that there should be someone we as members could contact in case of questions about the forum, maybe somekind of spokes person or someone more in charge. Cause u Dhab isn't easy to get in hold with and I feel Freddio and Suma isn't either. Maybe we need one more admin involved with the sijun so we mods could be informed about things.
What do u think?

I am a mod already and have been for quite some time now, but I don't have moderator rights yet, not sure what I should be able to do though. Smile

thanks for mentioning me.
I hope everyone is ok with me being a mod since I guess we all remember that the old days was filled with temper, I don't hold a grudge though and I am trying to act civilized nowadays.

Really now. What is there to moderate? This place is (in my opinion, at least) a very civilized refuge in the juvenilia that is the internet. Things are fine as is.

Basic problems with phpBB2 security were the problem here. Not moderation. No more mods please. (even the 'extra' ones that pop up of late Very Happy

This place just needs a php mechanic. Install updates, make sure there is no db quirks... and we are good to go. No self-inflated whip cracking nazi mods though. Aside from russian spam and yearly trolls there is nothing to delete and no accounts to ban.
