Hey Ultrahsu: we got the same pallete this time, hahahaha. Anyway I like that one a lot. Only crit is the girls eyes seem a bit far apart for me, or rather her right eye seems to be looking a different direction than her left... can't tell which but it makes her look a bit alien. Maybe that helps add creepyness, I dunno. So could you reveal your breakthrough? Just curious what you realized.... and hows New Zealand treating you?
Ok so I went back to photoshop.... ergh. Its just so quick for me. Is there anyone out there.... can you help me? Am I doing anything interesting or right? When I post its usually just crickets and the hum of my harddrive... makes me wonder if I'm way off the mark or in the right direction.
ne way, post to whine right? my sort of War of the world Interpretation. I hope that movie is cool.

octavian: That is awesome. Hope the aliens in the film look as good.
Capt. Fred: Nice!
ultrahsu: Really inspiring. I love the use of soft brushstrokes. Makes it look very organic.
Rargh. Sorry. It's late and I'm tired.

Hands down one of my favs from you. As much as I admire inventive composition, complex lighting, lively textures, and other dazzling stuff, it is simple pictures like this that my heart belongs to. (Wasssup's picture of the little princess sitting does that for me too.)
BTW, have your ears been itching lately? You've been discussed at length here, along with underground rap music: http://www.studioproducts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6170 (the thread reads backwards--first page is the newest) |
Spooge - I totally agree with Lunatique. It's one of your more simple compositions, but MAN!! So nice!
And Lunatique - I read a good portion of that thread, and I agree with both of you. In a lot of ways. Thought provoking. I think a lot of us have a love/hate relationship with digital. Spooge, I think is simply one of the few that have been able to get over it (correct me if i'm wrong mr. Spooge) ....
I could say more, but I don't want to turn this thread into a debate over the evils and virtues of digital painting as well. _________________ //www.ryanfrederickson.com |

Max, Retro and Ultrahsu, very nice!
Hard to get good scans of pencil drawings, or maybe I should just draw better haha
(Revenge of the Sith, great film btw, inspired me to pick up a pencil and the rest was inspired by da Vinci drawing.)
EDIT- wait, it's not RETURN it's REVENGE of the Sith, right? that's what you get when you don't sleep and post at 6.30 am _________________ www.TimoVihola.com
