I have't shot any formal sessions(by formal, I mean a session lasting at least an hour or more)since December last year(remember the Wong-Yuee session?). Guess I've been too immersed in my paintings.

Well, I was inspired again today when Tina showed off a new top she bought when we were in Hong Kong. Looks like every time she tries out a new piece of clothing, we'll end up having a photo-session.

The rest of the session could be seen here.

I really like the second black and white one. Very interesting.

Does she ever have bad pictures?

Gimbal8-- Well, it's kind of my job to make sure she doesn't have bad pictures...

Actually, I'm pretty surprised too at how photogenic Tina is. I guess the fact that she's been an actress and model since she was a teenager makes a huge difference. People who are used to being front of the camera really knows how to show their best sides in a natural way.

I would say that after taking well over a thousand pictures of her since we met, it would be hard to find more than 5 or 6 bad pictures of her. Yeah, tell me about it. It's friggin' rare for a girl to look that photogenic almost all the time.

The first and the fourth are absolutely stunning. They are both elegant and feminine.

If I ever wanted to get my photos taken (meaning if I wasn't so damn camera shy) I would definitely contact you. You have a wonderful way of capturing raw emotion. Your portraits are gorgeous

Loki-- Join the club. I'm glad you didn't pull a "Dr. Bang" on me(you've seen the comments he makes, no?"

Jez-- Wow. You are so generous with your praises today. If I ever end up somewhere near Texas, or you near California, we should do a session. Don't worry, Tina won't get jealous. She's a great photography assistant when I shoot sessions of other girls.

A.Buttle-- Heheh. I've known a lot guys with "yellow fever," so I'm used to it. A lot of Asian guys take offense to non-Asians drooling after "their girls," but you all know that I'm not some pro-Asian dork that gets all gunho about being Asian. In fact, I couldn't care the fuck less what race I am. I'm just Rob, the looney guy.

I've only shot with one camera since getting into photography last year, and it's the Olympus C3030Z. I'm getting to the point where I feel like I need to get a semi-pro/pro camera, as I'm starting to outgrow the consumer grade cameras. But, of course, a real pro can use a disposable camera and still take killer pics, so I still have a long way to go. . ..

Pixie Nim-- For that shot, I wanted to hide her eyes in the shadow, and just show her lips to create a mysterious look. I'm doing that with the painting I'm working on(the one of the fantasy group shot), and I thought I'd try it with photography too.

They have better lenses. Even if the resolution is lower the image will be sharper. The resolution race with consumer cameras is complete nonsense because it doesn't matter if you record an unsharp image with 3 meg pixels or 3000 meg pixels.

I like the first one best, don't know why.
