hi. i've made this drawing for a thread on a french forum called CafSal. the drawings are made upon a theme generated by a "random theme generator" called 3CH (it's in french and coded by some UBIsoft guys - Hydropix, Vyle, Viag, Sparth, BARoNTiERi -).
The sentence of the last session was :
french :"Un petit oiseau bienveillant renseigne un enfant dans les nuages"
(almost) english : "A little friendly bird tells something to a kid in the clouds"
All crits welcome. (i've just noticed the overabondance of red tones...)

This needs to be a Studio Ghibli film. Very nice.

I love it. Very atmospheric! Maybe you can write something in the orange area of the portal.

The form of the big construct in the middle is a bit hard to read. One factor is, I think, the whitish drapery (?), it is so close in value to the clouds that it almost looks like a hole in the building. Also the on the left side, the "leg" of the building seems to bend a little where it gets thinner towards the bottom.

The birds are great, the sense of space is too. I agree you should perhaps have something on the orangish part of the big building, it draws so much attention to itself that it's a little odd, being so empty. That, or maybe it should just be toned down a little.

agree

Also i didn't noticed the bird, until i've red the title .. i guess its a bit of too much the same value as the backgorund and the drawing is not clear enough. It only differs in color and saturation, and maybe thats not enough ...

Overall great feeling to it, but the whole scene is a bit lost in some unbalanced values and some lack of drawing and komposition, i like your speedpaintings(those i remember) way better. Neutral
