One of my first portraits, and i am very proud of this one.

Title: Elizabeth
Name: Justin Beckett
Country: Canada
Software: Photoshop

Please do not say the pupils are to big, i know they are like that, i left them like that to give a feeling hopefully the viewer will see and be caught into her eyes. I painted this with Adobe Photoshop. I would prefer just comments on this piece, unless critiques are neccassary. Thanks!

First of all, I am not drawn to her eyes at all. She has no soul. Second of all, if you only want positive comments and don't want to learn what's wrong with your painting, you will never learn from your mistake.

Eyewoo - thanks mate Smile Well, i made that disclaimer because i would appreciate a cool, or nice job or something Razz rather then just seein all the views pile up... I donno, it just seems whenever i post here no one really says anything these days, but on other forums they do... I guess i was just complaining.

Chai - If there is crits send em too me, i even said that, but what i was looking for was just some comments. I usually always ask for critiques, this piece i just felt i personally didn't want to recieve any. I know you learn from critiques. On every other piece i have done, i have posted them on a art forum, i have asked for critiques, this one i didn't want any, just comments Smile Thats all. Sorry if i offended anyone.

I guess next time i will not post unless im asking for critiques.

Justin.

I think it's quite well done, and I'm drawn to little details like the freckles. Good work.

It is a nicely done piece. But I can't take myself from saying that 'the pupils' are way too big. I know you know that already and did it intentionally. But I think it focuses the viewer to her eyes but gives an odd feeling which is in this case, a bit disturbing. It would be sure better with normal sized pupils since the artwork doesn't need focal points like these. That issue has a negative effect on me, or maybe it's just me... Keep it up.
