Damn straight digital decoy, Barbarians used to be a major staple of this place. Not that I'm helpin matters any ...
Cool miles, I'll check that out. Thanks.
FreeBooter, How was Cthulu?
lingy-0- nice matrix work, the comp seems well considered.
DangerousLlama- That last one gets serious respect. I love it, and seems close to warrant a finished painting. There's all kinds of character and suggested story in that image. I think it's my favorite of everything you've ever done (though I admit, all I've seen is what you've posted in this thread in the last month or so :p).
Annis, so you going to art school now? I seem to remember from a while ago that you were considering it (though maybe I'm confused completely)
Mitsui, nice reward. You have a link to the winning entry that netted you all those dvds?
balistic- Are those zombies in the background? Say yes...
Yoshi, pretty fancy, you still tryin for the enviro contest over at CA?.

Thanks Hideyoshi. Nice tilted perspective.
My first pencil sketch in about a year. Two hours on A4.
Old habits die fast.
Edit: Falldamage> Dark Corners of the Earth was absolutely fantastic game. Altough the gameplay could've been better, overall mood and fantastic immersion more than made up for minor flaws. As for the story and horror elements this was easily the best game I've played in years. Wholeheartilly recommend for any who likes adventure games.
(PS. When it comes to anything lovecraftian my opinions are far from impartial)
Oh, and now that I'm back you'll see more barbarians you can handle. |

Yes, they will be zombies. There will also be a couple flying saucers and a giant spider _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

Jza, pretty cool, reminds me of Constantine
Flaptraps, sweet value contrast, I especially like the robot walker type thing.
Good job establishing scale and selective detailing the piece.
Freebooter, I look forward to it. One of these days, I'm gunna get off this future kick I've been on.
seth1, when you say from ref, do you mean live study?
watmough- since you seem prety decent at both, do you prefer digital over traditional painting or vice versa? I've never tried traditional anything besides pencils.
lingy-0- wow.. that first one is amazin. How long did that take you?
Popeye- kinda disturbing, but well done.
Lost my values somewhere along the way, which was too bad, cuz it was really shaping up early on.

Flaptraps, wow...
falldamage, i feel like the left hills in your last are backlit, while the ones on the right are getting light from top-right.

Nice work all.
That's cool Annis, it's good that you've got things together at that stage in your life like that. That painting is coming along great as well.
Tyboogie, excellent mood there. Good color
Freebooter, that's what we need.
Mitsui, your entry was really amazing, I can see why you won.
Capt Freed, Awesome light and texture there.
Miles, lots of improvement there over previous pieces. I like it a lot. And you're right about my previous pic, ... Sloppy of me : p
Speaking of sloppy, here's another quicky, bout 40 min so its a bit careless and stylistically lazy. I feel like I'm hitting a slump and I need to expand, but I'm not sure how.

lingy-o,thanks alot!,spectacular paintings!
falldamage, which medium?....they are all different, with inherent strengths and weaknesses.I use digital now just to save money on art supplies and to keep all my stuff in one place........Oh,and to keep from making a mess.
mitsui,what are saying?
annisahmad, you are working hard on these,it shows.
flaptraps,capt fred
everyone,really great stuff!
