Duracel - I really like the looseness!

Good stuff everyone! really inspiring!

A quickie 20 minute fun-bucket before I hit the sack tonight. A new favorite thing of mine is to just draw a line really quickly and loosely in some curve, then see where it leads me. This, is one result:

and with 10 minutes shading to illustrate where the lights are

Ranath, honestly, I always just say nice work to you, so it was late and I was tryin to think of something to say Cool

Chris, awesome color integration there.

Ecs, that's a beautiful oil painting.

P-rik, do you do your speedies over other paintings, or is that just texture from brush work?

Varg, thanks, and yes, it did take longer than usual : p

Zombat, it would be cool with color.

falldamage: we must have our lines crossed slightly -- i'm living in Aus, so you're mostly correct. but no 3d (couldn't get past the whole modelling thing).
skywalker: yes - been looking at alot of old school stuff, mostly Jack Davis recently. i always seem to go into a davis mode every other full moon.
wassup: thanx - was trying to link to my blog to your site, but getting a fatal error (yikes!Smile. love the pics -- the portrait has such control in the strokes. are you painting over a texture there or overlayin g a texture afterwards? its a nice subtle look.
misui: like that - nice tones (very bengal).
seth: fun study -- maybe the mouth feels strange though..
neff: who me? shucks Embarassed (and thanx).
stephan: nice arrrgggh.
duracel: thanxs kindly -- few more coming up soon.

couple more from the old school

P-Rik - cool

escdesign - I like the oil painting a lot, real sense of atmosphere and temperature there

Sean J - cool ... reminds me of a magic card ...

Wassup - great use of color and brushstroke

Mitsui - I really dig the style and simplicity

Seth - cool! the skin looks very much like skin

Duracell - Great atmosphere

kalakal - nice, but I'd like to see the edges a little sharper

visual myriad - great stuff! not a fan of doc savage's legs though, they don't match the upper body Smile

the devil from the 70's?
