Cool painting M@!
I was stunned you did it in 1 hour.
But oke, that inspired me to try one my self.
Looked at your painting for 10 min and started.
3 hours later this came out.
Oke, besides landscapes I never did speedpaintings before, so I think it will do.
Damm I want your brushset
Keep up the good work all.
C ya!

Great pieces, guys, too many to list. You can tell it's autumn, output is increasing
Here's a little something. Not exactly "speedy", but not really finished. I have no clue what to put in there.

This image is a little more "finished", but still completed in a pretty short period of time, I'd say a day and a bit.

Your screen is naturally 72dpi (dots per inch), so that's what you work with. That's pointless however, because what you really should be looking at is the pixel dimensions of an image. The dpi number only matters when you print your work. 1024x768 pixel image would be quite small if printed with 300 dpi.
I'd assume most people work in resolutions that are between 1000-4000 pixels wide/high. A good tip is to start small, and scale up the image if you need more resolution for painting the details. |

thanks mikko...since all the speedpaintings arent going to be printed work i'd assume that most of you work on 72 dpi...correct? you have some great stuff in your website mikko... |

More paintings.
In these painthings is used some photo ref.
So some idea's items or parts can be seen before.
All paintings are fully painted by my selfe, and some photo ref is used as example, not to sample.
here I used a paiting of Linda Bergkvist as example.
This is done with a photo next to me on my desk.
Pirates of the carabean theme.
The face is from a picture.

Speed paintings.
Some went verry wel, some did not.
But oke, thats were you learn of.
I'll be a concept artist one day
Fantasy world.
Some nice shaped mountains.
A little snow world.
Some Lava test, this was real hard, and still not good enough.
This one went well. used some foto ref vor the water detail.
This on is made with a photo next to me on my desk. colors balance and depth went well.

C'mon dude, are you serious?!!!
Here's you:
Here's the great, the ORIGINAL: L. Bergkvist
Next time, all you gotta do is say that your doing a paintover of someone else's work. No one will fault you for that. |

I know, thats a painting of Linda Bergkvist.
Love her work.
Hers is better do
And no, it's not a paint-over m8, toke me 3 full days to paint it.
The paintings I have placed here are made in a training/education that I do on this moment.
Also used foto ref, but didn't do copy/paste.
Only worked from prints.
But yes I've used examples, yep.
Also told it in the topic.
Textures are allowed?
C ya.
