Spelled the same, pronounced differently draw.er and drawer  English sucks.
I think we should all get together and make a language that makes sense. Maybe like the binaries in Star Trek: TNG

Man, "Draw-er" just sounds retarded. I hate it when people use that term. I'm shocked it's in the dictionary:
draw�er (dr���r) n. 1. One that draws, especially one that draws an order for the payment of money. 2. (also dr�r) A boxlike compartment in furniture that can be pulled out and pushed in. 3. drawers (dr�rz). Underpants. |

nono ... the term 'drawer' describes me exactly ... I'm always drawing money from my checking account - til it's gone (usually in three days). I'm also dawing upon my skills with girls when I meet one - and get my ass kicked immeadetly. I also draw the wrong conclusions quite often ... and with that I daw the line right here ________________
yeah ... the term sucks - probably comes from the literal translation of the german word "Zeichner" ... which is wrong of course .... |

When I say "Hi! I'm a matte painter!" they usually think I'm designing those things people clean their feet on before they enter the house ...
So I've given up on that. Now I usually say "Hi! I'm one of the regulars on the Sijun forum!" - that get's them running even faster ...
