Hello everyone, I have been looking at this forum for some time now and I like some of the work here, so I thought I would start posting some things for crits...please don't hold back, it can only make me better.
Thanks everyone!
I created this sea turtle painting for a friends kid. Crits always welcome =D
I did this on a challenge from Jeffsfolio.com. Crits always welcome =D
This was just something fun I did while at a firends house listening to KMFDM (drinking was involved ;P) Thanks
I helped my friend create a portfolio cover for his first graphic design class at our school.
Some earlier works, this si from my background design and layout class...first learning how to digitally paint.
Thanks _________________ Truth is the essence of life, if that truth flows freely from you then why do so many choose to ignore it? --me |

I'm not sure there's so much to crit, but..
I would recommend you to make studies from life, learn about light, composition, values and contrast by setting up simple still lifes with different lightning situations.
it's tempting to draw space scenes or magnificent landscapes, but without the basic knowledge of the craft, it won't live up to the expectations of your imagination.
try to stay off the color and focus on b/w for a while.. color is fun, but witthout the proper knowledge of values and light, it often becomes washed out and dull
oh, and in all the seriousness, try and have fun
I hope this is any help |

Hey thanks a ton! That does help, I will do my best to so some B/W light studies this up coming week and post for crits, I have some older things but I think new drawings would be much better to present.
Quick question, you said there really wasn't much to crit...does that mean the the rest is looking ok and working or that there is just too much to fix? Sorry just a little unclear =D
Thanks again. _________________ Truth is the essence of life, if that truth flows freely from you then why do so many choose to ignore it? --me |
