One year ago or so discreet was increasing the prices for their products in europe, as a reaction of the low euro at that time.
Well, now the euro is with $0.98 higher than ever in the last two years and seems to surpass the Dollar soon. Now, would that not be a perfect occasion to drop the european prices again? HEH, DISCREET?
Im still working with max2.5 because I just cant afford every update that there is, but soon I will have to get some recent software on my PC and I wonder if it will be Max again, now, that Mayas got such a nice price... |

Flat, the people who buy software (yes, I'm aware that's very non-1337) do care.
The US dollar's value vs. the euro has dropped about 14% in recent months. If Max costs 4000 (I have no idea whatever it really costs these days, but I think they haven't significantly dropped prices?), then that would mean 560 . That's money one would rather spend on something else (of course personally I would rather spend money on almost anything else than Max )

They'll decrease if demand falls. |

It has been theorised that the succes of Max has been caused by the fact that is was the most accessible 3d software to be gotten illegally.
So do a good deed and open kazaa.....
You will need the keygen anyways just to be able to work with it every day. |

I heard Adobe stated that they don't mind students using illegal Photoshop versions because they represent only a tiny bit of the market. And if they get serious about using it, they will buy the Adobe software and not some other product. That's an official statement.
I guess the same goes for MAX - they just don't say it out loud. Clever buggers. |

if you pirate things, which you should not, do it through usenet and newsgroups- safer (from virii) and from spyware. |
