thanks Matthew!
notic-that is terrifying lol, great idea and execution! I think the little specular marks on the water and the birds really sell the scale of it.
this wasn't really a speedy, still trying to figure out this architectural stuff (as if that can be done in a lifetime haa)

I'm new here. This board was suggested by my concept art teachers, so here I am.
I really need to practice speedpainting, so I'm currently trying to do a speedpaint every day. i'm hoping to get some feedback and tips from you guys. You can expect some paintings every couple of days.
Kinda like this one, although the values suck.
Tried to do some sort of mech, but the design is crap.
Still got a long way to go. |

Some nazghul concept I got in my head, had to put it on a file.
First rough concept, then applied into the piece above.

snootchy-haha that was me, I got locked out of it by a defunct email anyways it'd be great to collab with you! NYC is strange cause there are alot of artists, but I don't meet many types that are into this kindof stuff. Seems like everyone is out west or somthin.
Matthew-thats really cool- they do look evil!
something simple-its always a fun challenge when you start off with an abstract texture that you don't want to ruin with all sorts of hard edges and solid surfaces. I feel I have to be thoughtful for once

Matthew......love the Nazgul piece. The texture you have added really helps to sell the piece. I don't think it would be as strong if your normal brush set had been used. Very cool! _________________ WEBSITE

Lemar > Really like your architectural stuff. I like how you lose some of the edges and suggest form when you paint.
banano and ZM > Thanks man. T^T
ZUPZUP > Thanks man. Love your stuff too.
Mintvis > Welcome Mintvis.
Matthew> Couldn't agree more with lemar and ZUPZUP. Really cool.
All > Great stuff.
One for today.

Thanks guys you are very kind.
ZupZup, yea you are right, it's a hard balance though. I was taught to keep balance in a piece which has to do with the flow, I guess which comes down to composition with every single stroke.
I do prefer original brush though...not sure why. Must be the simplification process lol. I made one more texture piece for you.
Lemur, wow real good that first piece.
Thanks again guys, sorry for not commenting all of you.
This a continuation of that previous piece, I really shouldn't paint these days though......
