It's really good. It's very crisp and defined. Quite a beautiful woman too. It is so fine. How do you get is so defined? How do you get it so pure and perfect looking? Click on the following;

And tell me how I can improve? |

Shrimpish,
I must say that this picture is VERY nice one.
There are few minor anatomical mistakes at her face but "normal" people can't see them if he don't know the anatomy.
So don't worry, I've just studied it so I saw it. :]
Very nice picture, very nice indeed.
Her clothes are nice, but maybe you could change her lips a little, they doesn't look so realistic, tho. I dunno did you make this in purpose that I can't see any directional light coming from anywhere, it looks like there's 10 lights all around her.
But good job you've done there for sure! |

Very, very nice. Great drawing, and nice shading. The highlights on the cape do look a bit "overexposed", but you admirably managed to avoid this on the face. It has a captivating quality, but it would be even more effective if she were looking directly at the viewer.
The only major problem is that the hair seems to have the "cardboard cutout" effect going near the top. If you were to darken the top and side edges, as it curves back and over the head, it would probably help immsensely.
By the way, did you use a model/photo? And if so, who?

Thanx, dudz!
Fetus, I used a photo of my girlfriend's for reference on the detail on the eyes and shape of nose, but the image was just randomly sketched.
And the hair, I know... I will spend a little more time on that. And on the cape.
Thanx again. |

Hmm... Marius, it's better than other your workz (are you inspired by Dhab's "Jenner" picture?) but it's looking kinda flat... maybe it's a problem of lighting... and the main problem is anatomy - take some photos to see the flaws. Yep, i agree with Funfetus - hair... hair... hair... anyway good level of details, coloring and it's looking nice.

Leo and Beam, I was just wondering what the anatomy flaws were... Is it a secret? |

Nope. It's not a secret. Let's do some mindwork - first, check her neck symmetry... see?
the shapes are different... yeah, human face and neck are not absolutely symmetrical, but not like this... and it's looking flat though it must be some kind of a cylinder. Second, check her lips and nose... lips are moving left, if we take a nose as a center line, so you see that left lips part are more stretch than right... also hair set are different too... well you used a photo reference for eyes'n'nose so why you don't use it for basic face shapes?
Hmm... maybe i've miss something?

This is a major improvement from the earlier stuff. Keep up the good work you're starting to look pro.

Wow, great detailing and smoothness on the clothing etc. But, if you're going for realism, the face is just *too* perfect. I've noticed with a lot of your eyes that you draw they are perfect ovals. Draw in some *slight* bags, wrinkles or some sort of eye/skin detail. This also goes for the face. Her face is so perfect that it lacks and wrinkle lines. Perhaps a bit more shading beneath the lips will add definition. Aswell as inbetween the nose and mouth, she doesn't have that little indent thing everyone has. Overall, I just think that some basic facial features and a bit darker shading to emphasize them will make it look better. But other than that, everything is great. Including all the detailing in the clothes. Wow! |

Heh. Nice shading. But :
--------------------
100 % - cool
0 % - crap
--------------------
noze - 90 % (too longe)
eyes - 95 % (more shading need)
cape - 100 % (no comments)
shirt under cape - 70 %
gem - 80 %
Hairs - 60 % (nice color, but form is bad)
Lips - 70 % (Jaconda ?)
It's all ) Don't kill me

Can you say, "Yasmin Bleeth"? Pretty good job! For that added realism, try to make it look less computer perfect... sort of like Dhab's Eclipse pic... |
