'Alo,
Ah, the joy of painting.. er.. whatever. Could you guys please tell me anything at all you would change about the below image? I guess it's easier to work with changes while it's still in progress..
I'd also like some ideas on what kind of background i should stick in there. I've experimented with all kinds, but failed to find anything acceptable. add. info: she's a rogue type character, and is wearing a red cape (red mass) and two metal arm band armor thingies (gray masses). The brown mass is leather armor that may or may nor be changed to plate armor or black leather of some sort. That's another thing I'm wondering about. But without further ado...

Tankshmuch in advance,

Well, the only thing that pos into mind right away is that the lips seem very dominating. (And keep your fantasies out of this) |

Whoa.. nice work!
Please tell me you drew over a poser figure or a photo or something.. otherwise i will get severe depressions.
The hair looks a bit too static I think. It looks a bit like a 2D shape to me.
The left part of the nose looks slightly different than the right one..
hmm.. and you could add some detail to her neck but maybe you didn't work on the neck yet.
phew... hard to find errors.

Hey Nova - I like the colors and basic lighting - that shocking pale skin with dark hair and lips - the eyes and nose look photo-realistic! Any reference for them?
I think it's harder to comment on a pic in progress - because like Nex mentioned, you might not have worked on a certain part yet that I'd comment on. Anyway...
I might make the shape of the neck more of a tube, rather than a cone (keeping it thin - as her torso and arms are very slim). I like the fullness of her face - though, with the body so slim - it makes the face look a bit chunkier as a result (the chin build, for example).
I'm anxious to see where you take it. Great job so far!

Nex:
i used a reference of the model 'Karen' (don't know the last name), but the original had very bad jpg quality, was a small image and had very short red hair and white makeup over her lips, she also had barely any eyebrows. The original doesn't look much like the final. i used the reference mainly for a study on lighting colours and shadows. i took the idea of working from a photograph from Dhab's 'Eclipse'
