I haven't bought comic books for ages, but when I found out that Dark Horse was reprinting the ENTIRE run of the Akira books in glorious black and white, I made three visits to the local comic book store in a week. And today, after my third visit, I walked away the proud owner of the first of the Akira books.
How exciting is that? I was not fortunate enough to be able to read them the first time they came out here in the States, and I've been looking for copies of them ever since I saw the film. I think that was 1991-ish. Maybe 1992, but who's asking?
Anyway, the next one is going to be released in March. Note, they've already reprinted the whole series in hardcover books that run about 50 bucks each. These new ones are paper back and go for 25.
Well, I just wanted to share my excitement with you guys. I saw the new Battle Chasers too. Nice work Chris.

And, you can probably order it off of Things From Another World. They have the entire Dark Horse catalog.

| You know what... there were 3 of them sitting on top of some books I was trying to get to at my comic store. I moved them to the side and didn't really notice it till you just mentioned it. I flipped through it real quick and noticed it was black and white.. but it didn't click. |
