Remember this one:
I have to have the lion dressed up for holloween. I could have done some scary pose, but that's my next project. So here's a pondering lion perched up in a castle, with a starry background. It'll be cartoony, but highly shaded and detailed. So here's the sketch with some darkened lines:
Now, I want to make his cape really flowy But I'm having trouble with it... ?
Here's just the lion so it's clearer:
Any comments so far? Ideas? Anything would be greatly appreciated  |

if you want the cape to flow, you'll have to make sure it waves. if it's straight, it'll look stretched, like something is pulling on it. keep the waves simple.. try making some silhouettes of the cape to see what works well composition wise. |
