Playing with photoshop's and tablet's settings I've noticed that if you create a picture with much bigger size it helps to make it a bit more realistic.
I'm now in a business trip and can draw only in my rented apartments using my notebook (IBM ThinkPad 600E with 320MB) RAM. The problem is also that the ThinkPad has maximum resolution of 1024x768 and quite small LCD (13,5")
So. I decided to create an image with the size of 500x500 pixels and to do that I created an image with the size 2000x2000 pixels and scaled it to 25% (in the view) It took me less than 1 minute to create a very basic picture of a candle. Then I've cropped the final image and sized it to 25% of the origial one, saved for web as JPEG. And I've found that the result is quite good
P.S. SH*T... I'm still getting used to use tablets - it seems that I can do better on a paper

that 1280 x 1024 is a bad resolution.
1280 x 960 the "correct" one.
see:
640/480=1.33333
1024/768=1.3333
1280/960=1.33333
but that 1280/1024=1.25 |
