Okay, so me and my friends decided to go out dancing. At a place where they would play synth music in the basement.
... so we went, but the music really sucked, and we sat around sulking for a while. Until we strolled up to the seconod floor and found a dance floor with no people dancing, and a DJ that agreed to play whatever we wanted him too if we stayed on the floor =)
So... I've been dancing for nearly four hours nonstop... I'm so tired my hands tremble as I type, and I'm in a better mood than I've been for a good long while
There's nothing as good as dancing without any prohibitions when you need to get boring everyday stuff and depressions off your mind. At least not to me.
Thought I'd just share my joy before I sneak off to bed!

Sounds like you had a great time. I still have to take a time out and find some of the dance clubs out here...I'm not into bars and that seems to be all there is in this college town...dime a dozen here :/ Haven't been out dancing in quite awhile (well there was New Years Eve ) and now you've got me anxious to get out again. Anyways, get some sleep. |

what a coincidence.. i still have my shoes and coat on from swing dancing tonight. came home about 15 minutes ago. so fun, and tonight was especially random. they played some freaked out tango-cha cha-salsa music, and there was a tango line or whatever.. i literally jumped in. for those of you in WA, it's in downtown Everett, that place.
it was even better because i almost felt invincible tonight.. it seemed like i had lost almost all my worries as i danced with whoever. i drew a lot too. spent about half of my time there sketching. sketching people and variations of people. my drawings were also so random and freaky, and i haven't felt as free in a while that way. great practice. it was all kinda dreamlike too, kind of blurry, kind of glowy. like that hazy brightness effect. maybe it was because of my contacts. *shrug*

Yep, I had a lot of fun. I'm feeling all of it today, though... dancing that much tends to make me hurt the next day.
Can hardly move my arms :\
But I'll live!

Can hardly move your arms after dancing? You might be doing it wrong. |

Dancing can be really great for relieving tension. I like raves for just that reason: you can just forget yourself in the mass and let the all-encompassing beat take you along. Very Zen.
But when I actually want to socialize and be with friends, I hate clubbing. Can't talk to people over the music. I prefer bars. Cheaper alcohol anyway, and more intimate.
Chapel: It's easy to get your arms tired. Not all dancing is Riverdance, y'know.

Actually, it's more my neck and my shoulders. You dance to my kind of music, and that WILL happen.
It's not like we, err, stand still. |

Had a wild ride friday night through saturday night. Went to co-Workers/friends house and partied all night then moved onto another and partied some more did a little more driving 150 miles aprox. eeks the car was being abused. Then partied at a resarunt, very busy there saturday. By that point I really wanted my bed. Jumoed in the sack and partied a little more pissing the neibors off and passed out. Now it's today and feeling a little worn out. And yes there a drink in my hand today too. Damn gotta go to work tomarrow. LAter.
Sounds like everyone had a good time

Dancing for 4 hours straight would release lots and lots of endorphins. One of the best feelings around, and you don't have to jump out of a plane either.

I sat on the floor, watched full metal jacket with the sound off and Barrit on the cd player, screamed at someone over the phone and then went to sleep to wake up every other hour, throw with something and go to sleep again. it was so much fun.
