Has anyone ever successfuly used a manikin? I've never tried until recently. Someone I know said I should give it a shot. I check around online and they were quoted to "assume all human positions" When I finally got one I realized what a piece of crap it was. Ive never met a human who cant bend his elbow past 90degrees. Or stoop into a crouch position. Anyhow, I was wondering if there are any usable manikins out there. Something with the same boxy body but that can bend into.. well into comic book positions. That would be really helpful for those of us still learning figure drawing. Hell, I'll probably just make my own! hehhe..

It's so easy to blow up your problems.
It's so easy to play up your breakdown.
It's so easy to fly through a window.
It's so easy to fool with the sound. |

Yeah, wooden mannequins suck.
Crazy as it sounds, I think the closest you'll get to what you want is the 3D software Poser, now distrubuted I believe by Curious Labs.
