Can anyone provide tips for making the eyes line up on the face. I can draw a single eye quite okay, after working with the eye tutorials. Unfortunately everytime I draw eyes, they look skewed someshow, like they don't receede together into the background.
I think my main problem lies in positioning the eye in its socket. How deep does it go in? How much proturdes? How do I draw the eyelids over them, so that they look like the eye is part of the face and not some detached sphere?

I can't draw you a response cause
1) I don't have my tablet here
and
2) I'm not good enough anyway :-P
But I found the bit about eyes in Burne Hogarth's "Dynamic Anatomy" very useful... It shows you how to picture the eye in terms of various masses, and how they fit together, and after covering a couple of pages with large scale drawings of eyes, I found I had less trouble with eyes...
Maybe you're more advanced than me, though, so that it won't help you - but it's worth having a look at if you see it in a library (just open it to about... a third of the way into the book, and have a look...)
Good luck!

I've got that book, and it is a great help, but that's not quite what I was looking for.
I want to find out if anyone has found any useful tips/construction line/or prominant landmarks to place the eyes correctly in the skull?
Right now, I don't quite know where to attach the tear duct or how to draw the outside corner of the eye as it turns the corner of the skull. |
