Judging from Hampster's "10 things good" post, lots of folks really like rain. Everyone do a quick painting of what it is you really like about rain. Lying in bed with the sheets snuggled up, watching the rain tap on the windows and drizzel down, walking in a wet field while it rains, playing in the gutter as a kid. Whatever you want. It's about expression baby! I'll do one as soon as I get the chance. Mmmm

Rain sets a mood, and I like it.
Everything seems different when it rains. Sometimes sadder, sometimes happier, but always original.

Only once in my life this wasn't true. A week ago it rained but the sky was white and the rain didn't brought any smell. It was really weird...

And faustgfx, just post the entire monologue, because if you cut it, it looses.

Iv'e, seen things, you people wouldn't believe, *humph* Iv'e watched attack ships on fire of the shoulder of orion, Iv'e watched C Beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate.

All those, moments...will be lost, in time, like tears, in rain...

(Augh, sniffle, why he gotta go and die? )

I love rain.

Let me restate that.

I LOVE rain. I love being in it and I love being sheltered from it. I love the dark grey skies that come with rain, I love the way everything smells clean after rain.

My favourite thing about rain, though, is the sound. I love the sound of rain, be it roaring on my umberella, or pitter pattering on my window as I float off into slumberland. Nothing is as soothing as the steady beat of rain.

I might even post some rain art later..

..but this topic made me remember when i was about 10, i'd come home from school soaking wet and with a huge smile on my face.. and my mom would ask why i'm so wet and i'd tell her that the gutters at school were flooding over.. one of my favorite pastimes in elementary school was runing under the gutters when it rained. Other kids were doing it, and it was fun, so why not?

Well here's the update. It is still far from done. I did a lot more with the outside the window stuff and started to rework his face a bit. The blanket was driving me somewhat insane so I also started to re-do that. :P

You're comments are perfectly welcome.

*yawn* sleep time...
Ian, out

Interesting thread....In Washington we usually get a lot of rain, not this year though...

This image isn't really a rain inspired thing, but sort of water-ish...
