is it good to look at something to get the composition? like diebenkorn, he used architecture and landscapes for his pieces... or is there a way to come up with somthing out of nothing?
my AP art portfolio consists of abstract and non-objective pieces. and i can use some help to how to go about coming up with a good composition. |

i'd say just draw madly and without real conciousness about drawing and shape.
maybe scriibling when listening to music or something like that. it's interesting to see the impressions of the music or the things that concerned you at that time in the scribble.
okay, most of the things i start this way are rubbish, but therefore, they don't need a lot of time. |
