Gotta be a little more specific...where is the counter, does it always display 8888888?
Cause I am looking in NS 4.6 right now and it looks fine to me...

i think i know the answer.
what was the last webpage you visited?
sometimes when you visit a page and then goto another one it will sometimes leave traces of itself.
such as, if you goto bangedup and then to here it will have a message at the top saying http://blargh.com is not the host.
