I'm looking for some very good books of photo portraits, preferably real people instead of supermodels and such, something that shows volumes, proportions, and clean shadows. I want to use it to understand better how the face works and how the light plays on the human face.

Any pointers would be great.

erm....i dunnop bout it but some of the chinese artist from china does quick nice form works....i have some of the books and was bought from a local shop.....[ too bad it closes down] well anyway.... try seaching for those china kind of artist book...not those of paintings..... but does just of black and white pencial sketches....most of these book are photo reference drawings.....
