I have never done sculpturing, but it seems to be very interesting.
What material is the best to use? I do not know anything about it!
What material are the sculptures on this website out of: http://www.drawthrough.com/sculpture
Please, give me a help! |

I know nothing about it either, but the term "Super Sculpey" is thrown around quite a bit... Maybe look for some of that? |

Xysryc- There are all kinds of materials that one can sculpt with.
You can use wood. Unless you know someone with all the tools this could be diffecult. You could do it with a Hobby tool, like a dremel.
Paper mache- cheap and done properly has some great results.(rather than using flour, go to the local hardware store and by some wall paper glue power)
Clay- is popular material and it quite resonalble compare to some other options. I think it was 14$CDN for a 20lbs box.
Polymer-clays - other wise known as sculpty, super sculpty. It is a plasterscene that does not harden till it is baked. This is more than likely what was used for the small sculptures that are on that site.
Indian wax- is a wax that heats up using your own body heat becoming plyable. Very expensive from what I hear.
Faom- For what was probably used for the larger pieces on the web site. These are done using a subtractive meathod. typically it is used for large like pieces.

Thanks for the info! That helps me a lot.
I think I will use Polymer-clays. It seems to be very clean and looks really good. |
