Remember a couple months ago I was bitching about My Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer? I had to take it back to the store and they replaced it. Well just the other Day My replacement had the EXACT same problem.
of course it was the long weekend so I had to wait until today to call them.
SO I'm on the phone with Microsoft and when they asked What version of Windows I use I said. Uh... actually I use Mac. then she got kinda snippy after that ha ha.
Anyway she gave me a bunch of numbers to write down and transfered me to Tech Support and I talk to the Tech support guy
"What product are you Calling about?"
"Intellimouse Explorer"
"What seems to be the problem?"
"Uhm.. yeah My mouse isn't working. the light goes off and on at random and it makes me cry."
"What do you have it plugged into"
"The Mac"
"IN the usb Port?"
"Yes."
"Well that's a hardware issue then we'll send you a new one."
So that's really cool that they replaced it so easily but man, that's pretty sad that they know these products are that crappy that they immediately Know it needs replacing.
On the plus side they didn't ask me to send in this one and it's just a cable fray so if I crack it open and strip and patch the cable then I'll have two $100 Mice!
Darn, I shouldn't have returned the first one to Compusmart when the same thing happened to that one. I could have had three!
I hope I don't have to send this one in, that would suck.
