Here's the new version with a painted background. Better?
I'd love some criticism on this thingy. I'm going to keep working on the shadows to make the eye area appear less flat. Suggestions for a better background would be great.

You should get rid of the backlight/glow, it makes it look pastd into the pic.
Anyways its a cool and creepy pic.
It looks like youve spend alot of time on it, is it for something special?
Keep us posted |

Thank you.
As I said, I'd like some suggestions for a background. I just added the backglow to find rough pixels at the edges.
It's not for anything special. I just thought about the title "Even a depraved world needs vision." and thought I'd visualize it.
You can find both images and an avi showing the progress here .work in progress

Welcome to the H.R. Giger-Robot-Fantasy-NakedGirlie-Dragon-art month at the sijun forums. I think you were going for a darker feel than I get, the artwork is not bad at all. Maybe add something to dark blobs one top and bottom.
The vibrant colors gimme a sort of "feel good" sensation, and the darks colors clash with that. Could just be the extreme contrast too. |
