hey, im trying to do a lion king picture for a christmas present, but im having some troubles with the clouds, andy comments?

looks good, a tad dark, should look good once the rolling green hills are added, i remember alot of light in that scene, so you might want to build on that

I think Pride rock had a strong orange colour to it, like canyon rock, and there was a lot more ambient light around it. As for the shape, it looks pretty spot on, and the hatching effect of your brush on the vertical face of the rock looks very nice.

hey thanks guys.

the scene im trying to recreate is simbas presentation at the start of the film. there will be a crack between the clouds, so that light pours down upon simba and the monkey holding him.

its gonna take a long time to paint all those animals at the base of pride rock...sigh..

the_monkey, I really like the way this painting is going. I would say it is ONE of your best yet! Stick with it and you'll keep impressing us.
