wow man... very good details.. and patience in design... how many poly right now?
I think it's better for you to find a way to make some piece of the cop with texture,
If you want to animate it..
finish it.. |

@zak
Worked with alot of reference photos from a DVD, otherwise i wouldn't be able to get into such a detail without cheating by adding or not applying things like screws, cables which have or don't have to be there.
@Phb
At the moment hes got about 94'000 Polys ( added some arm parts )
Dont worry about the animation animation and texture thing... It Shouldnt be a problem to add a lot of detail into it AND get a propper working texture on it :]
4 Days and i think i'm finished ( should have around 120'000 Polys then ) |

A little update from his right Arm
Right Arm - Outside
Right Arm - Inside
@zak
I didn't builded the original Stop-Motion Moviemodel of RoboCop2 with legs looking flimsy...
I'm just remodeling it as exact as i can
But if i you keep in mind that the legframes are made by solid steel i think they can hold the weight of the whole model |

Box modeling only with a huge ammount of extruding, welding, splitting, redoubling etc...
Did the cables by using a cylinder with about 15-25 height segments and then i turned the vertices of all the height segment to the angles i needed them...
( lots of work but its fun )
Close-Up Cables
Posting the next pictures when i'll finished the left arm with the gatling mounted on it.

@Godwin
Robocop & Robocop2 are Cyborgs, they have some human parts behind all the plastic, steel of the machine body like a brain...
The only armor is needed for the upper part of the body cause it holds the engine, the neural system of Cain and some other important things ( Live supporting machinery? ) The other parts of RC2 doesn't have armor pads ( like the shining armor of RC1 ), they don't need it...
Everything is massive steel so most standard calibre weapons are useless.
Even the Baretta Rifle RC1 used against RC2 didn't scratched his armor. |

Maybe i'll make an animation these days but thats going to be a lot of work cause i can't use the IK of 3DSMax so i have to turn the bones all by my self... Uhh...
@Cleoric
Here are 4 ( of 40 ) Reference pictures I used.
It's not much but my Webspace is getting low... ( Need to remove some pics... )
