Hi everyone, this is my first post in this great forum. It's a girl turning into a tree , but I don't really know where to go from here. All c+c are very welcome, especially on what to do with the background...
Thanx!

Background: I would choose a scene in the nature.
She is in the middle of a big green.
Some huge trees around her.
A forceful lightsource...and so on.
Could be cool. |

I found this picture.
I think that the small part that is supposed to indicate what's going on doesn't cut it.
To show that there is a metamorphosis going on the pose should be static...both legs should be involved...and you should show more of them!? |

Thanks for all replies! I know the problem with the tree, I think perhaps it looks too flat, and I'm not satisfied with the darkest part of it. Something to work on, definitely
I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this is just a project for my own pleassure, I don't have a great story behind it. I just try to study the human body and practising on doing a good composition. The background is the hardest part I think...
I've thought of making the background green and with big trees, but I think I want something a bit less predictable - though I don't know what that is... then it's hard
I think you're right about the static thing AndyT, but I like the pose, perhaps I can involve the right leg without changing the pose. How do you mean by "show more of them"? |

I thought it might help not to cut off the left leg. Maybe show how the body/tree ... stands on/is connected to ... the ground.
[edit]one more thing...the pose can look a lot like yours even if it is more static. Maybe this link helps?[/edit]
