Here is what I had to do for art class... a good 4 hours worth of putting all the little dots in all the right places trying to make the shading look nice ... it has been graded and all just wanted to post it and see what you all think. thx
The below is a closeup of the dots. I used a .1mm pen tip and also a .5mm pen... comments/suggestions and or questions welcome

Oh my .. how I remember those exercises in art class..
Well congratulations on that very nicely done pic ! Did you choose your subject ? Automobile shading is one of the most difficult thing I find. It must've trained your eyes on value a lot.
Oh and how many pencils did you break out of frustration ? |

Haha ya it was very frustrating for me. We got to choose whatever we wanted, and no one chose a car so me being different... :P I sketched the outlines of the car, grill outline, lights, bumper, but the rest I didn't want to have too much pencil going around so I sorta just used light dots to place where everything else is going
Thanks for the comments |

hehe, we're doing the same sorta stuff in class now as well, except our teacher won't let us use stippling as a technique. |
