Jason, he didn't say that it was solar-powered and therefore magic, he said it was magic AND it runs on solar power. Geezsh.
And my mouse is exactly the same.
And by the way, that's a really nice drawing.

I'd rather take the pic down than have it become a stage for satire. I set aside some time from doing Uni stuff to try and get back into the whole art thing and I was (for some reason) quite happy with this pic. Maybe when I don't have 101 things on my mind & have something to offer I'll start posting again.

Ceenda
I for one was not trying to be sarcastic. I was trying to have fun but should have given your picture the respect it desearved and been willing to offer a searious crit. After all I see now that you are very searious about that. But its also ok for you to instead of joking around with us and replying with its solor power, it would have been ok to say to us. "hay guys, dont joke around, I would like a searious crit on my picture".
My inquiry as to were the cord was, was an honest question. It was the second thing that struck me upon looking at it. I thought the picture was well renderd. Not my choice of subject matter but it was, well done. |

Jason: Sorry, you caught me at the end of a bad day. Any other day I would doubtless have seen the humour of the situation more clearly. It was more that the picture was inviting satire than crits which was the problem and hence I took it down. I'll probably start posting work here again in a few months when things aren't so busy. |

Ceenda: I hope you are having a good day today. You are a very talented artist. Amazing that that isnt all that you do. Ive been to your site befor and if I recall arent you a programer or something. Amazing. Ill recheck that here in a bit just to make sure im right.
Any way, I hope you keep posting. Just have to keep that sence of humor about you and wear a thick skin some times. I know becouse I get the same treatment some times.
I do hope you will keep posting. I know that its becouse of talented artist like yourself that this forum is liked so much. Of course its inmaturaty that we could with less of. But truely, I wasnt trying to dog your work. I think it is very profesional.

For what it's worth, I wish you would put the picture back up. I'm not really sorry however, 'cuz I think stupid wisecracks are just the nature of internet forums as far as I can tell. None of us should be quickly offended by something that some idiot types at us from the other side of the world. I thought the painting was solid, and I told you so. In the future, I will not try to amuse myself on your threads. I hope you're in better spirits.

Wow, could this possibly be one of the worst weeks of my life?
I never at any point intended to blame Jason or anyone else for comments that I would probably have made myself to someone else. It was rather that I realised after the first few comments that the pic was not very good at all and was quite possibly the dullest subject matter that I have ever posted here and hence I would rather take it down than have it posted there.
The comments people made were humorous and funny and not sarcastic at all.
I just realised that I would rather not have the pic up. Suffice to say that things (non-Sijun related) are really going pear-shaped right now. Possible exam failure(Finals), work load and personal girl-related heartache(which we all go through, most people handling it better) have really got me down at the moment.
I'm not abandoning the forum and certainly no-one here has provoked this but I think I need to take a break anyway and come back when my mind is clearer and is geared towards painting again (and when I can take a joke without going crazy without reason).
I'll certainly drop by now and again as the talent and genius displayed by everyone on Sijun at the moment is inspiring regardless of one's personal moods.
Suma, work your magic wand on this thread please. |
