Hey gang
I made a portrait of a half-elf guy. It'll be used in our unofficial MOD for Baldur's gate2. However, I personaly hate the color I used and how the edges are all blured up. I would appreciate it if you could tell me how I can improve this. Thanks!=]

Yeah, try using hard-edged round paintbrush brushes, instead of airbrush and/or soft-edged dodge/burn. Pick the colours directly...

Tip: if you have the paintbrush and you press ALT, the tool turns into the colour picker, so you can work on areas where you already have the colours you want by alt-clicking to pick the colour, then painting, then alt-clicking again, then paiting some more, etc...

Thanks for the advise!
I played around with it and got a more sharp version. Doing the hair was a nightmare, and I'm not very satisfied with the one I have now. Any comments?

Yeah, this looks much better :-) I like the colours in this one. The hair looks ok to me.

Unfortunately, I can't give you any more useful advice, though I'm sure if one of the gurus around here pops round he'll find thousands of flaws to fix, I'm far from that level, so... good luck! :-)

It's an improvement, definitely. I would work on the colours of the face a bit more, and concentrate on the eyes.

I got a excellent repaint from Enayla. This one looks much more cleaner. I really like the high light on the hair. Looks almost female! I'll have to study it closely. hehe
Anyway, thanks Enayla! =]
