Hello. I am extremely new to this forum (about 5 minutes or so and wanted to say hi
I am 21 years old and extremely keen on 2d digital paint. Unfortunatelly in my country there is no work for digital painters so I have to make a living doing web design... *doh*
Here is the address with some of my stuff (most of it just training and/or under construction I'll be more than happy to receive comments and advices!
Everyhting is done with Photoshop only with an A6 Graphire tablet (no money for Intuos..)
My stuff...
PS The digital2d.com design is almost ready and tomorrow (hopefully) will go online! |

Yup, the rhino is very nice indeed! So is Shisko (although much more rough).

10x to all! I spent some time looking at the older posts here and so on and I'm depressed... As if Loki wasn't enough, and now I have so many painters to worship!
I have to spend more time painting than posting in the forum, I guess
I just painted a new...er.. blob using Painter (I'm not very well with this program and decided to test a quick image) It's called shishko.jpg, you can see it on digital2d.com/gallery/morgoth/shishko.jpg
By the way, I'm stuck with this terrible "Morgoth the Dark Lord" instead of simply "Morgoth", does anyone know how to change it? It's written that I CAN change it, but i couldn't find out how... and my login handle IS just "Morgoth"...
Ok, I'm a newbie |

Looking good. I'd say your only flaw is that most of your characters and stuff tend to look kinda flat. Pretty cool stuff though. |

10x
I am training for a texture/skin artist and that's why I'm not paying much attention to global lightnin, depth and stuff like that... I am going for detail for now. You should've seen the early Rhino, it was a flat as a dollar bill )))) |

Thank you all once again for the good words! I can't help being extremely proud
Yeah, I surely want to work as a texture artist in a game company! That's the job I dream the most of at the moment...
The problem is that I lost about 4 years of my life with web design and entered the world of digital painting about 3-4 months ago, and I have neither the experience, nor the portfolio to apply for work. And I'm still finding thousands of mistakes in my works (which are still excercises only, and researches on technique, material and so on, save the rhino (which I tried to make into a complete illustration) and the digital2d.com design)Anyway even if I make my works look competetive, I am not sure a game company would like to hire a texture artist from around here... But we shall see, for now I just want to paint and paint and develop, but I have to work full time in this web design company and often have projects to continue till 3-4am, so not much time for paint (
Enough complaining, I'm sure everything will go as cool as possible, and the difficulties will just make my desire to paint stronger )
Thanks again to all, I will SURELY hang around here from now on! It's pure luck I found this place!
The zombie skin is nothing but a training, a friend of mine who is 3d modeller gave it to me to train painting smallsize images... |
