Most of the time i came here to gawk at and mesmerized by beautiful art that you wonderful people here do but from time to time i came here to learn from you all, to know how the hell did you do that.
But now it seems i'm getting less and less, not many people are doing that anymore.
Come on people give it up , share! share
In the spirit of sharing, here's mine (I know mine is worthless but hey it's the spirit that count right?? )
Layers: Sketch - Line Art - Color+Shading - Background - Everything minus Sketch. |

Hey Sapirol!
Pretty cool. Like the depth of field - adds a lot.
The lineart is a little bit jittery - when doing something like that, you want the lines to be super-smooth. Maybe you need to work in a higher res?
The outline is also very heavy around the fingers ...
Keep at it!

I agree about the sharing aspect of your post - I wish i had more time to reply to more posts - not because I am an expert (far from it) but cos I know how frustrating it is to get no feedback on the work you are doing.
So here goes...
I like you picture - it is simple, and colourful. A few ideas and comments... Some how I actually prefer the early line art to the final product - it certainly has more of a feel to it. The simple shading is fine, but I think that there would be a small shadow on the right hand side of her face where her hair over hangs slightly. The nose doesn't quite work in the shaded version - the nostrils seem to be two hole going straight into her face... may be make them less dark, and perhaps a slight shadow under the nose would help here too.
Any how - hope that helped a little, and keep commenting and posting

Loki, thanks man...
about the lineart i dont think it's the res cause the original res is like 3000x3*** I think doing it in photoshop make it harder or i'm just too damn lazy to get it clean and smooth
anyway i've tried clean it a little bit in the updated version
Ampa .. i agreed on the shading around the nostril i've tried a few times to get it work but it still doesn't look right...
i've give it a second try in the updated version i don't know.. what do you think?? |
