I was drawing a vampire comic and the girl posing in the back of this piece wanted to be in it but we took out the scene she was going to pose for. She and the girl playing the vampire from the comic really wanted to pose together for anything and finally they suggested this.
It was an entertaining photo shoot, especially when one of the model's fianc came into the studio. Then of course my wife opened the door just a little to much and the pizza guy saw several women walking around in various forms of undress. Not knowing he was delivering to an art studio, he probably thought he walked in on us filming a lesbian porno.
edited for bad spelling

Great piece, nice detail especially on the faces.
The only crit I can give is that the foot of the vampire looks kind of stubby to me, can't think of any other way of putting it. |

So you're tracing the photos, in order to produce drawings for the comic?
Nice picture, in its own right, btw. |

No I don't trace the photos for the comic book or any of my art. I use the photos as reference because it's easier than having them sit in some of these poses for hours on end.
My argument to the people that say Da Vinci didn't use a camera is that Da Vinci didn't have a camera. He used models just as I do. but I take up less of their time. I'm sure if they had cameras back then, he would have used one. |

Hell - given enough time - DaVinci would've probably invented the camera. Michaelangelo would've used projectors for the Sistine Chapel too.
Cool pic! Like to check out the comic when it's done.
Lucky pizza guy. |
