This is something I did to try a new style - no pencil, no scanner, in fact no linework at all. Just straight in with the Wacom, which is something I've never really tried before.

What do you think?

hmm the face seems more like a characiture.. and the body seems more realistic.. It looks alright but the size of the head doesnt seem to match the size of the shoulders/body.

good work for not doing that very often.

(dont know why more ppl havent replied yet.)

I like your picture, did you work out any techniques for drawing with the stylus & tablet directly? I found with my wacom I had to slow my drawing speed down in order to get good control on the surface.

Triffid: No, I didn't raelly think of a strategy for using the Wacom, I just generally rush in and make it up as I go along. Probably _not_ the best way to go, but fun nonetheless.
Mind you, now that I've got a new PC that's
about 4 times faster than the last one, I think I'll be able to sketch away smoothly even in the most RAM-intensive of apps!
