Hey guys, here's something I did two nights ago instead of doing my homework :
http://www.geocities.com/blackpixelss/art/digital/watergirl.htm

The story goes like this -- Her world was sunk underwater and a few 'humans' with an extraordinary swimming ability survived .. they evolved and slowly grew more fishlike, and this is their current state.

I also dug up an old self portrait I did a while ago when I got sick of doing black and white self portraits. That is here : http://www.geocities.com/blackpixelss/art/digital/spcolor.htm . Not a big deal, but i thought I'd mention it.

Cheers,

-- Laura

I saw the water girl on Francis' forum and meant to reply. I think the whole mood is great, like the unique pose and color choices as well.

Only crit I have is that maybe you can put some faint underwater characteristics in the bg, like a school of fish or some algae-type things. I think it would help verify that she is underwater.

Self portrait looks great too, you're good with eyes.

I like the watergirl a lot, the lighting is appropriate and moody. The only crit is that it seems that the girl's face, hair and clothing are of same material, which makes her a bit statue-like. Anyway, the athmosphere rocks.

The portrait looks pretty, but the other half is missing
